Making wine is full of challenges, but we never expected to lose more than 70% of our 2017 reserve red wines to a catastrophic fire at our storage facility in the Uco Valley in July 2019. This beautiful wine was recovered from the debris at our storage facility.
In addition to being "gently toasted", this wine was aged in first and second use French oak barrels for 18 months. Intense dark ruby red in the glass with a bouquet of raspberry and plums, with hints of spice and cigar notes. The oak aging balances the acidity to provide a full body and long lingering finish.
50% Merlot, 12.5% Malbec, 12.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.5% Cabernet Franc and 12.5% Petit Verdot
